There I was. Surrounded by majestic mountains everywhere I look. The sky was perpetually beautiful. No matter if the sun was shining or if rain was pouring like cats and dogs. It was beautiful. The cloud formation there was always perfect. It don't matter what time or where you look at it from. It was perfect.

This is at Malim Nawar. Where my dad grew up in.
Peaceful. That's the emotion conjured up in me when I was there. It feels just like......like home. And there's no one I'd rather share that with then my famiily. It was a wonder. It was like I was in another country entirely! Why didn't I realize the beauty of this place before? All the chinese new years that I've spent there was pretty hectic I guess. Everyone came back, the weather was always too hot every year and everybody was busy chatting and eating and drinking and collecting all the ang pau's. Festive!
But this time, everything was chill. No aunties around to bother us and ask about what you're doing with your life.

Anywayssss....the kopitiam's cool. We make the drinks the way we like, we make our own toast with butter and kaya...or curry chicken pau's if you like cos my aunt started to make those recently. And the house in Tapah is naisness! It always feels comfortable. With dogs running around all the time. A little garden that my grandma takes good care of, and enough space for everyone to run around and chill. I think I've had a lotta dreams where I lived there growing up.
Down this very street is where Caspian kopitiam is at!

Ipoh is such a gift. I'm glad I was able to enjoy it for a little bit the past couple of days. hehe...I foresee future plans of running off to these places when I need to get away. I guess I found the hidden kampung girl in me. Well I think I can work them floral skirts and a bike alright!(btw I CAN ride a motocycle, now that I've figured out how to start it. Manual bike O.K?) :D
